The Bristol Backyard Ultra returns after an unforgettable inaugural year — bringing together runners from across the UK for a weekend of grit, determination, community, and pushing beyond what you thought was possible.
Set within the trails of Blaise Castle Estate, this is a true Backyard Ultra experience: runnable trails, an electric basecamp atmosphere, long nights, sunrise laps, and the simple challenge of making it back before the next bell.
Whether you’re chasing your first ultra, aiming for a new distance PB, or testing your limits deep into the second night, you’ll be welcomed into one of the most supportive communities in trail running.
HOW IT WORKS:
• One 4.167-mile (6.7km) loop
• A new lap starts every hour, on the hour
• Finish within the hour to continue
• Fail to complete a lap in time and your race is over
• Last runner standing wins
