In this ANZAC Day concert, Brisbane Chamber Choir presents a poignant and uplifting program, joined by featured artist Umberto Clerici. The title works come from 20th century American composer Samuel Barber, the man who wrote that poignant Lux Aeterna/Adagio for strings. In acknowledgement of the ANZAC occasion we recognise the 80th anniversary of the close of WW II, with Howard Goodall’s In Memoriam Anne Franck. The singing cello of master cellist/conductor Umberto Clerici will soar with our voices in works by Joseph Twist and Eric Ešenvalds. Lastly, don't miss the World Premiere performance of Stephen Leek’s There is Music for choir and string quartet, a song cycle of the ages to bring this magical concert to an affirming close.Programme (includes):
