About this Event
Bringing Out the Best of US
Creating Connections, Opportunities & Belonging with People of All Abilities
This didn’t begin with a launch.
It began around tables, in art spaces, over shared meals, through conversations, and in the small moments when someone felt comfortable enough to participate in their own way.
Those moments became Conductive Connections.
On Tuesday, December 1, 2026, we’re opening the doors of The Ringling’s Historic Asolo Theater and inviting Sarasota to experience what we’re building.
Conductive Connections is a Sarasota-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit creating community experiences where people of different abilities can connect, participate, contribute, and build meaningful relationships.
We focus on people who may face barriers to connection and community participation—including autistic and neurodivergent young adults—but our experiences are intentionally designed to bring people together across abilities, backgrounds, and perspectives.
This is not about creating activities for one group of people.
It’s about creating environments where people of all abilities can contribute.
What to Expect
This won’t be a long presentation about what we hope to do.
CREATE
Music, arts, storytelling, and creative expression
CONNECT
Conversation and stories of strengths, experiences, and contributions
CELEBRATE
Recognition of individuals, community leaders, and a community
organization helping strengthen Sarasota
BELONG
An opportunity to meet, participate, collaborate, and discover what
comes next
Come experience it.
Meet the people behind the work. Explore examples of the community experiences we’re creating through food, art, storytelling, movement, sensory experiences, creativity, and collaboration.
Connect with participants, families, artists, educators, businesses, community organizations, supporters, and people who simply believe Sarasota can become a place where more people have meaningful opportunities to belong.
There is no one right way to participate.
That’s the point.
Why Conductive Connections?
Someone can learn a skill and still have nowhere meaningful to use it.
Someone can learn to cook but never be invited to cook with others.
Someone can develop artistic talent but never have a place to share it.
Someone can learn conversation skills and still feel alone.
Conductive Connections exists to help close that gap.
We create the environments where connection can actually happen.
Through programs such as Cook & Connect, Language of Love, Sensory Oasis, arts and cultural experiences, collaborative community programs, and public showcases, we create opportunities for people to move from:
Connection → Participation → Contribution → Belonging
