This is the site of the first English speaking colony in mainland Canada - the Anglo-Scottish settlement of Charles Fort!Although this settlement only lasted 3 years (1629-1632), it would shape the future of both province and nation!
Nova Hollandia will be bringing the lives of the intrepid settlers to life: showcasing day-to-day skills such as period cooking and handicrafts, as well as discussing the arms and armour of fledgling colony.
Come along and learn about the settlers early interactions with the indigenous people, their ongoing battles with the remnants of the French Acadian settlers and the colonies end in 1632.
