Bring One for the Chipper

UTC-05:00Location
Sims Lake Park | Suwanee, GA
As part of Keep Georgia Beautiful’s annual Bring One for the Chipper program, we are turning your holiday cheer into something sustainable by collecting Christmas trees to be recycled! The campaign kicks off on December 26th and runs through the end of January. Simply bring your live Christmas trees to Sims Lake Park for drop-off. Before bringing your tree, please be sure to remove all decorations, lights, and stands.
The recycled trees will be turned into mulch that will be spread across our city parks. From 9AM to 4PM on January 4th there will be a chipper at Sims Lake Park to start breaking the trees down into mulch. On that day only, we will be giving out tree seedlings in exchange for recycling your tree with us!
🌟Location: Sims Lake Park, 4600 Suwanee Dam Road
🌟Dates: December 26 through the end of January
🌟The chipper will be at the park on January 4th from 9AM to 4PM! You will get a tree seedling when donating your tree on this day only!
🌟Decorations, lights, and stands should be removed from all trees prior to donating.
Adult & teen volunteers are needed for the event on January 4th at Sims Lake Park. If you’d like to lend a hand, please contact Nicole Schnepper at [email protected] or 770-945-8996.
