About this Event
Join us for the unveiling of ‘Young Canadians and Chronic Urban Violence: Healing, resilience, and resistance from between the bridges.’ This event will feature powerful artwork and discussions on the findings of a multi-year youth engagement study by NSCC, Inspiring Communities and the University of Toronto, supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).
Hear from Terrence Taylor, local entrepreneur and youth coach, Halifax Youth Poet Laureate, Asiah Sparks, Dartmouth MLA Susan LeBlanc and youth panelists as they share insights from a community mapping and art project that captures the challenges and hopes of youth in Dartmouth North.
The event will be held at the Presentation Theatre, on the first floor of the Nova Scotia Community College, Ivany Campus.
Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
