Meeting to kickstart a project to hold a carnival in St Denys in 2025.Carnival to include a street parade culminating at the Community Centre with a programme of entertainment and activities.
We are looking for volunteers to help organise the carnival and take part in related activities on the day. This will include providing a mixture of free and low-cost entertainment for the local community and an opportunity for residents of the area to socialise.
Meeting objectives:
1) Rough outline for how the day will look
2) Explore possibilities for local groups/venue involvement and sorts of activities to include
3) Agree an organisational structure, appoint roles and assign tasks in order to progress the event planning
4) Confirm a provisional date for the Carnival
5) Schedule a date for a follow-up meeting.
