Bring & Braai

Please come and join us for our first Saffa braai of the year taking place on Saturday 20th June at The Magnet in Wakefield, opposite Morrison’s and McDonalds on Dewsbury road, Wakefield. Please park at Morrison’s parking lot as there is ample parking there and all you need to do is cross the road to The Magnet.
Claire and Andy who run The Magnet have given us their pub free to have a Braai and watch the Springboks vs Barbarians game. As they are not charging us to hire their venue, all that we ask is that you support their bar which is very reasonable 👍
There is a large outdoor area with lots of benches though I would encourage you to still bring some camping chairs in case all the benches are taken.
We will have 5 communal braai’s that everyone can cook on so donations of charcoal and fire lighters would be much appreciated to keep the fires going 👍
The nearest train station is Wakefield Westgate and The Magnet is a short 15 minute walk by foot or a couple of minutes in a taxi. As we are in Wakefield central your taxi should cost no more than a fiver 😊
SA Delicacies will be selling all your favourite Saffa goodies. Please can you make sure to preorder boerewors, biltong etc
