Brigid’s Day (Imbolc)

Brigid’s Day, also known as Imbolc, marks the turning of the year — the return of light and the first signs of spring.

We’re marking the day at The Engine Room, Wayfarers Arcade, Southport with a programme that runs from daytime into the evening, combining café culture, hands-on activity, and live music.

During the day, The Engine Room will be open for:

• Café service
• Crafts and activities for children
• A relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere

No ticket is required for daytime attendance.

In the evening, the space becomes a ticketed live music event, featuring Irish & Celtic music to mark Brigid’s Day.
An evening ticket is required to attend the live music performance.
Advance tickets are available online, with a higher price on the door, subject to availability.

This event is intended as a contemporary, community-focused way to acknowledge Brigid’s Day, welcoming both families and evening audiences.
