About this Event

Step into the shadows of Brighton’s criminal past…

On this immersive 50-minute guided tour of the Old Police Cells Museum, you’ll weave through original holding cells and uncover over 200 years of Sussex policing and crime.

Led by one of our expert guides, each tour is packed with fascinating facts, chilling stories, and little-known anecdotes that bring Brighton’s hidden history vividly to life.

What You’ll Discover:

  • The Mods & Rockers Era: Stand before authentic 1964 graffiti left behind during the infamous seaside clashes.
  • Infamous Crimes: See the original court model used in the investigation of the Grand Hotel bombing.
  • Police Innovation: Learn how a Brighton officer helped pioneer the two-way radio system now used by forces worldwide.
  • The Darker Side: Hear the tragic story of Chief Constable Henry Solomon and other gripping tales.

And much more…
