Brighter is a high energy pop-punk musical comedy set in the early 2010s, featuring the music of the band Patent Pending. It follows five friends as they navigate love, friendship, heartbreak, and the insecurities that define young adulthood. Optimistic Nick and self-doubting Stacy struggle to make their relationship work, while fiery Katie and overconfident Mario can't seem to stay away from each other despite their constant conflict. Watching it all unfold is Emo, the kind-hearted bartender who secretly longs for Katie.

As the story moves between the present and the past, friendships and relationships are tested, old wounds resurface, and each character is forced to confront the fears and self-doubt that have been holding them back.

Blending outrageous comedy, heartfelt emotion, and an amazing pop-punk score, Brighter is a story about finding yourself, letting go of the narratives that keep you stuck, and discovering that sometimes the biggest obstacle to happiness is the voice inside your own head.
