Join us for the first-ever Bright Futures Fair — a family-friendly evening filled with hands-on activities, resources, and opportunities for students and families.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭:
● Get homework help at our Tech Tutors Drop-In Tutoring Station
● Learn helpful strategies at the TRIO Study Skills Table
● Try Breakwater's Entrepreneurship Simulation to experience what it’s like to start and run a business
● Free financial resources provided by Breakwater FCU
● Fun, age-appropriate money activities for younger siblings
● Enjoy light refreshments
● Prizes & Giveaways
A collaboration between Michigan Tech’s GEAR UP and TRIO Pre-College Programs, and Breakwater Federal Credit Union, the Bright Future Fair aims to bring financial literacy and academic resources to Copper Country families.
Copper Country ISD high school students who complete Breakwater’s Entrepreneurship Simulation will be eligible to win prizes, including the chance to earn a full-ride scholarship to a course of their choosing through Michigan Tech’s Summer Youth Programs this summer.
The event is free to attend and is open to all Copper Country ISD high school students and their families. Students who wish to attend are encouraged to sign up in advance to help facilitators better prepare for the evening.
