Join the City of Marquette and the Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum on Saturday, January 4th, from 6:00–7:00 PM at the Marquette Commons for Bright Beginnings, a joyful celebration to welcome the new year.• Discover: Oscillation, an interactive public artwork that responds to your movements with colors and sounds. On display through January 5th.
• Warm Up: Enjoy hot cocoa around community fire pits.
• Celebrate: Meet glowing surprise guests and share your hopes for the New Year.
• Experience: A spectacular public art performance by the Lucid Fyre Bellators, from 6:30–7:00 PM.
Glowsticks will be provided by UPCM, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own glow gear to help light up the night!

Oscillation is an interactive artwork brought to our city by the City of Marquette Public Art Commission, with the support of Travel Marquette, the Marquette Downtown Development Authority and grant funding by the MI Arts & Culture Council. It was designed by The Urban Conga and tour produced by Creos.
