Brick by Brick: Lego Shipbuilding

Welcome to our rescheduled date for the 15th annual Brick by Brick: Lego Shipbuilding! Join the Hampton Roads Naval Museum, in partnership with Navy League Hampton Roads and Brickinbad Virginia Beach, for a fun-filled day of creativity and imagination at the Virginia Beach Sports Center. Let your inner builder shine as you construct a Lego ship for the competition--or just build for fun! This in-person event is perfect for all ages with activities for everyone, including: participating in our shipbuilding contest, creating Lego crafts, building U.S. Navy ships designed by our staff, viewing professional-level Lego displays, participating in Lego robotics, and much more! Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to showcase your building skills and connect with other Lego lovers. See you there!

When: Saturday, April 18, 2026; 10am to 4pm

Where: Virginia Beach Sports Center, 1045 19th Street, Virginia Beach, VA 23451 (next to the Virginia Beach Convention Center)

Cost: FREE

**Please register all attending (both children and adults) when you sign up for this event.

Additional partners for this event include Bricks & Minifigs Chesapeake; Hampton Roads Lego User Group (HARDLUG); Brickmania; and First Lego League.

Note: If participating in the shipbuilding contest (Build-at-home or Build-onsite), your ship must be completed and registered by 2pm on April 18. Age categories are 0-5, 6-8, 9-11, 12-15, 16+. Winners will be announced at 3:30pm. Pre-registration is not required for the shipbuilding contest. You can register your ship when you arrive on-site.

This event will have a sensory room set up for children who need a break from the event.
