The Cocktail Bar presents a very special, first time ever, guitar duo performance from two of the area's most noteworthy jazz guitarists, Brice Henry and John Horne.
Brice Henry has a decade long history of performing jazz guitar along Parkersburg's Market Street and throughout the greater Mid-Ohio Valley. Claiming a lineage from Django Reinhardt to Joe Pass, Henry boasts of the best mustache in jazz guitar today. He is currently in the middle of a monthly residence at the World-Famous Empty Glass and has been featured on WDTV, Coast2Coast AM and on Jim Cornette's Drive Thru podcast.
John Horne is adjunct professor of guitar and jazz studies at Ohio University. A native of Pittsburgh, PA he holds a B.M. from Duquesne University in jazz guitar performance. In addition to his responsibilities at Ohio University John performs regularly, runs a private teaching practice in Athens, Ohio and has taught for National Guitar Workshop, Ohio Arts Council, Artsbridge, Jorma Kaukonen's Fur Peace Ranch, Athens Community Music School, TrueFire.com, and has contributed to Acoustic Guitar Magazine.
