JT Soar and Coffee Beat Presents...Folks that know me know I'm into my trains, from Hornby as a child to all those old emo records/zines and the symbolism attached, the complex organisational puzzles, history of essentially the veins of the developing world etc.. There's a lot to take in on that front.. Anyway I'm rambling.. I'm also a massive fan of BRIAN MADDISON, one of the sweetest, most kind hearted and generally wisest people I know. JT Soar has been blessed with his wisdom and expertise on many a project over the years, so reading where all this came from has been a real treat.. So here we go...
BRIAN MADDISON : Railwayman - Engineer - Diver.. Memories of a lifelong Railway Engineer.. BOOK LAUNCH..
This autobiography is an excellent account of not only Brian's life on the railway, first working for British Rail then leading Bridgeway and beyond, but also documents the development of the railway system and it's infrastructure from a very personal but detailed standpoint. Not just sat behind a desk, Brian has been out there getting involved at every level and this experience via the heart and mind of this great man really shines in this book. I can't recommend it enough. Hear Brian and those close to him read excepts from the book, answer questions and enthuse about this lifelong passion and experiences.
Grab the book on the day, or from your switched on local book stores.. https://www.nottinghambooks.co.uk/product/railwayman-engineer-diver-memories-of-a-lifelong-railway-engineer-by-brian-maddison/
