On July 30, 2023, our lives changed forever when Brycen Wermter, a rising junior at Gloucester High School, tragically lost his life at just 16 years old. Brycen was a proud member of the Gloucester Dukes JV football team and was fiercely devoted to his older brother with autism. He had a special place in his heart for individuals with autism and anyone with special needs, always believing they deserved to be seen, heard, and supported.
Brews for Brycen was created to honor his life, celebrate his legacy, and continue the compassion he showed to others. Every dollar raised will benefit Bloom & Thrive ABA in Kilmarnock, an organization dedicated to empowering children with autism and providing life changing services to families throughout the surrounding communities, including Gloucester.
Brycen was known for his resilience, kindness, unwavering work ethic, and willingness to help anyone in need. Whether on the football field, at work, or with family and friends, he left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Although his life was far too short, the impact he made continues to inspire those who loved him.
By joining us for this event, you are helping carry Brycen’s legacy forward creating opportunities for children with autism to find their voice, build confidence, and thrive. Together, we can ensure his kindness continues to make a difference for years to come.
