Brevard Upland Systems Course: Florida Master Naturalist Program

Explore the ecology, wildlife, plants, and conservation of Florida’s diverse upland environments! This 40-hour course combines classroom learning, online instruction, and hands-on field experiences to introduce participants to Florida’s hardwood forests, pinelands, scrub, dry prairie, rangelands, and urban green spaces.
Participants will learn how upland ecosystems function, explore the plants and animals that depend on these habitats, and examine conservation issues and the role people play in shaping and protecting Florida’s natural resources.
