Walk, talk and create some art in a beautiful outdoor space with Create Yourself Calm CIC.
About this Event

Join us for a free Walk, Talk & Create event, led and sponsored by Create Yourself Calm CIC, who work with individuals, businesses and charities to support mental health and wellbeing using a holistic toolkit of art, creativity and mindfulness skills.
Create Yourself Calm will aim to help you make the most of your 'me-time', with a special focus in this session on art and mindfulness. We will then create some artwork based on what we've seen, heard and noticed on the walk. Spaces are limited at this free event - if you book and can not attend, please cancel your ticket so the space can be made available to someone else.
We'll meet at Merrymeade House (Merrymeade Chase CM15 9FE) and go for a short walk and talk around Merrymeade Country Park, enjoying the location, sights and sounds and discussing mindfulness.
At approximately 11am, we'll head back to Merrymeade House for refreshments at Merrymeade Tea Rooms where we have a space reserved for us. You'll receive a complimentary drink as part of the session courtesy of Brentwood Connected, but other food/drink will be available to purchase either during or after the session.
You'll then get creative outside (weather dependent) and you'll have the opportunity to recreate your walk in a fun way using different collage materials.
This session is open to beginners and more experienced creatives. All materials will be provided. We aim to give you a brief insight to what Create Yourself Calm can offer, and we look forward to you joining us.
Please note:
- There is limited free parking at Merrymeade House and Sawyers Hall Lane tends to be busy in the mornings. You may wish to park in one of the many High Street car parks (Chatham Way/Town Hall/William Hunter Way) and walk to Merrymeade House (approx 5-10min walk). Please note there is now a maximum stay of two hours at Sainsburys so we do not advise parking there for this event.

- Let us know if you have any accessibility requirements we should be aware of.

- Please dress for the climate and wear appropriate footwear as part of this event will take place outdoors, whatever the weather.

- Please note, we may take photos at this event which may be used by the Brentwood Art Trail, Brentwood Connected, Create Yourself Calm CIC or supporters of the Trail to post about this and future events. Please let us know before the event if you do not consent to this.
