In many Indigenous traditions, this was the season for stories —
when families gathered close, elders passed down myth and memory,
and the long nights became a sacred container for wisdom to be shared.
A time to reflect, to remember, and to dream what comes next.
February was also a month of natural fasting —
a time of conserving resources, both inner and outer.
A time of stillness, of silence, of reverence.
A time when the Earth teaches us to do less, and listen more.
This ceremony is an invitation to do just that.
To drop into breath.
To soften into what’s stirring just beneath the surface.
To honor the wisdom that only quiet presence and breath can reveal.
