Breathe with your Shame! Embodied Breathing workshop
Date: 30 November 2025, 10 am – 5 pm
What is it about?
“We are not what we show, but what we repress.”
Carl G. Jung
Shame? Yes, shame. This time we’d like to work with it.
Have you ever felt worthless, inadequate or self-devaluated? Have you ever felt bad because of your own or someone else’s behaviour? Afraid of social rejection and embarrassment? Is the loss of honour and respect familiar to you?
Indeed, Shame is a universal emotion that is experienced by most, if not all, people but that often remains unacknowledged and hidden. It is a painful feeling caused by guilt, short-coming, or impropriety, a low frequency condition of humiliation and disgrace.
As every emotion in a healthy state, Shame is necessary and useful to regulate our social interactions and even to motivate us to do better, to achieve more or to adapt in different social contexts.
It is only when Shame becomes chronic or “toxic”, it can feel heavy and overwhelming, can lead to self-sabotage and mental health issues like depression, anxiety and low self-esteem. Eventually Shame can result in isolation and relationships problems.
It does not mean that it cannot be worked through! Shame can be healed and integrated with the help of different therapies (somatic, emotional etc.).
Though one of the greatest antidotes is Breathwork. My personal shame experiences I could befriend through Conscious breathing - an incredible tool for emotional resolution and mental peace.
What is it about?
At this hands-on Breathing workshop, you can learn how to frankly face your Shame and how to stand up to it with the help of 2 Transformational Breath® sessions, Embodiment coaching and powerful grounding exercises you can use each day.
Workshop will be given in English, but language is not a barrier, it is an opportunity. So, we can help with Dutch & French if required.
What will you learn?
- How conscious, connected, diaphragm breathing can help you in letting go of Shame
- Practical and effective breathing exercises: mindful, regulating and transformative, for your everyday life
