Breath Workshop - Somato Respiratory Integration, Stages 8, 9, 10, 11, 12

In this workshop, you will learn about and experience Somato Respiratory Integration, a series of 12 breathing exercises designed to help the brain to reconnect with the body and its experience. The goal of SRI is to help an individual develop lifetime skills, safety, strength, wisdom and love in relationship to the experience of his/her body, its vibration, structure, and energy. Through connecting a person's breath, touch, focused movement, and attention, they are able to experience the body more fully and instantly shift their state of consciousness to one that supports trust for the body-mind and their life experience. Each of the 12 exercises brings with it its own richness of personal growth and development.
Stages 8 & 9:
Stage 8 (Emptiness in Connectedness) is a place of possibilities, a state of gratitude, vulnerability, and connection with our external rhythms and alignment with events around us. From that space, the lightness of Stage 9 (Light Behind the Form) reminds us that it’s possible to connect deeply to the body, it’s energy and to the interconnectedness of our surroundings and life itself. It is a place lightness, and deep energetic connection.

Stages 10, 11 & 12:
In Stage 10 (Ascent) we unite with the creative forces of life, transcending the limits, boundaries, language, and judgements of our existing sense of self, gaining the wisdom of knowing the oneness of all of creation. Having been being renewed beyond our limits, we enter the world again (Stage 11 Descent) to participate in the larger circle of life, knowing our gifts and having the desire to effortlessly share them with the world. In Stage 12 (Community), we experience our involvement with humanity and recognize that wholeness comes from bringing our individual gifts into community. 

What to expect: 
A better understanding and experience of Stages 8-12 and the states of consciousness associated with them. The experience of love, compassion, emptiness, gratitude, the lightness of being within, and a deeper energetic connection to your surroundings and life.
No prior experience necessary or class prerequisites. You may take this class without having taken any prior SRI classes. The workshop is structured upon the “Somato Respiratory Integration Workbook” (by Dr. Donald Epstein). Participants are encouraged to buy the workbook before the workshop so to make the most out of the workshop experience.
