Breath Core Lift is a full-body movement experience that blends functional breathing, core and pelvic floor rehab, and strength training to help you feel strong, supported, and in control of your body. This class goes beyond traditional workouts by focusing on how your body actually functions...teaching you how to connect your breath, core, and pelvic floor to improve stability, reduce pain, and move with more ease.
Each week is a full-body lifting session that begins with a specific lift focus to help you build skill and confidence over time. We rotate through foundational movements (shoulder press, hinge, push-up, and squat) so you can learn how to move well first, then build strength on top of it.
You’ll move through intentional strength exercises and controlled transitions, with an emphasis on proper form, alignment, and coordination rather than intensity or speed. This is about building a foundation that supports everything you do—whether that’s lifting weights, chasing kids, or simply getting through your day without discomfort.
All movements can be modified, so you can truly come as you are. Whether you’re dealing with pain, core or pelvic floor symptoms, or just getting started, this class meets you where you’re at and helps you build strength from the inside out.
Taught in the 2nd floor studio at the Downtown Davenport (Bittner) YMCA. FREE for members of Iowa Mississippi Valley YMCA.
