Fiona Campbell OAM
Creative Director, Perth Symphony Orchestra
Fiona Campbell OAM is one of Australia’s most versatile performers and dynamic cultural leaders. An award-winning mezzo-soprano, ABC guest presenter and accomplished international recitalist, Fiona has built a distinguished performing career spanning more than 25 years across Australia and abroad.
As Creative Director of Perth Symphony Orchestra, Fiona has expanded her artistic practice into visionary productions and large-scale cultural leadership, with a reputation for bold, contemporary orchestral experiences that redefine audience engagement and artistic scope.
Combining artistic excellence with entrepreneurial vision, Fiona continues to shape innovative, sustainable orchestral models that connect contemporary audiences with powerful storytelling and live performance.
Dr Daniela Vecchio
Head of Mental Health and Addiction Services Fiona Stanley Hospital; 2026 WA Australian of the Year
Dr Daniela Vecchio is head of mental health and addiction services in Fiona Stanley Hospital and recipient of the 2026 WA Australian of the Year Award.
She is the pioneer in establishing the first publicly funded gaming disorder clinic in Australia, after seeing increasing numbers of young people with addiction to video games and social media and was quick to recognise the harms caused to them and their families. The clinic is unique in providing early detection and intervention in an acute hospital setting.
She has driven the development of holistic assessments and a wide range of personalised treatments for her clients. She has fostered extensive collaborations, internationally with Korea, Germany and Dubai, nationally with experts in the field and locally with health, education and police services.
As a director of the Australian Gaming and Screens Alliance she is promoting education and research into harmful online use and influencing national policy.
Petrina Burnett
Breast cancer survivor, author, women’s health physiotherapist
Petrina Burnett was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in 2007 at the age of 31- a diagnosis that didn’t come as a complete shock. She was subsequently diagnosed with a BRCA1 gene mutation. Petrina’s family’s cancer story began many years earlier and has spanned across many generations. This story prompted her to self-publish her book called “It’s Not (Just) About the Breast” (an Amazon Bestseller) and included her experiences and insights with her diagnosis and her innovative professional work as a Women’s Health Physiotherapist.
Over the last 19 years since her diagnosis, Petrina has also become a passionate cancer advocate particularly for those diagnosed at a young age and with a genetic high-risk mutation. She has particularly used her voice to help shape health services, research and health policy, keeping front and centre the added considerations and challenges of life stage and intergenerational complexities.
