This is an introductory health class to learn about the basics of breast cancer. The class is taught by Dr. Courtney, a doctor of physical therapy who is certified in breast cancer rehabilitation. It is intended for individuals with breast cancer, who are breast cancer survivors, family and friends of those with breast cancer or a history of breast cancer, or the general public to raise awareness. Information discussed includes breast anatomy, different types of breast cancer, signs and symptoms of breast cancer, stages and grades, possible treatment options, possible tests performed, possible side effects, and breast cancer rehab. An outline will be provided at the class. The class itself will run about 45 minutes followed by a Q&A session. The class is $10 and you can register at the link below, call our front desk at 260-925-4500, message Dr. Courtney through Facebook Messenger, or text 260-226-3889 with your information to register. Payment can be made in person with cash, check to AMC, or by card upon arrival.
