Youth today face growing pressures—from school and friendships to social media, anxiety, and emotional stress. Breaking the Silence: Youth Mental Health Summit is bringing students, parents, educators, and community members together for a meaningful day of education, connection, and support.
Join Central Illinois Resource Center Inc. and the Peoria Public Schools Wraparound Center on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 10:30 AM–1:00 PM at the Peoria Public Library Main Library, 107 NE Monroe Street, Peoria, Illinois.
🕥 10:30 AM–11:00 AM | Welcome
Join us for introductions, a warm welcome, and an overview of the day’s purpose.
💬 11:00 AM–12:00 PM | Seminars
Choose from sessions designed specifically for Youth, Parents, and Educators. Topics will focus on healthy friendships, boundaries, digital wellness, emotional safety, supporting teens, and helping students experiencing emotional distress.
🤝 12:00 PM–1:00 PM | Community Resource Fair
Connect with local organizations, learn about available programs and services, and access helpful community resources. Snacks and refreshments will be available!
This event is open to students, parents, educators, and community members.
Mental health conversations matter. By creating space to listen, learn, and connect, we can help youth feel heard, supported, and empowered.
