What does it actually take to build something sustainable in the local music scene?"Breaking Into the Scene" puts five veterans who book shows, run labels, own venues, and have been doing this for decades in a room with those of you looking for answers.

🎸 Chad Buettner
Co-owner of B-Side Bar. Guitarist in Grunge Pop, Daughter Diesel, and Silver Side Up: A Nickelback Tribute. Built B-Side's entire stage, sound, and lighting system from scratch. Got pulled on stage by Nickelback in 2023 when they heard about his tribute band.
🎸 Tiffany Buettner
Co-owner of B-Side Bar. Guitarist in Grunge Pop, Daughter Diesel, and a No Doubt tribute. Self-taught starting at 14. Went from not playing for years to being on stage within two months, and from bedroom guitarist to venue owner.
🎸 Scott Armstrong
Decades deep in the Omaha music scene. From the Ranch Bowl death metal days to original bands at the Hideout and Lookout Lounge to the 80s/90s cover circuit. Currently performing in Secret Weapon and Seattleite.
🎸 Danny Garcia
Owner and frontman of Lemon Fresh Day since 1998. Best of Omaha every year from 2019 to 2026. Full-time musician since 2008, running every aspect of the business himself. Omaha born and raised.
🎸 David Taylor
Creator of the Good Life Podcast and founder of Good Life Records, home to 26 artists. Provides booking, artist development, and marketing support for new musicians.
Moderated by Eric Reichwaldt, President of the Future Rockers of Omaha Foundation.
