Breaking Bread: A November Storytelling Feast
About this Event
This is a delicious season for stories, especially stories about bread! Because when we enter the darkening time of the year, something urges us to connect, to support each other, to reconcile--to break bread together in every sense--against the coldest season to come.
From stories of stolen bread breaking a head, to breadcrumbs showing the way home, join the Basket O Cats Story Collective for a feast of cozy storytelling (and a treat of homemade breads to share as well). One of humanity's oldest arts meets one of humanity's oldest carbs!

Emily has had a range of career “hats” she’s worn, all of them involving communication: educator, former magazine editor, veterinary professional, and a writer of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. In 2022, she completed the Master of Arts degree in Communication and Storytelling Studies at East Tennessee State University. Now she aligns her skillsets working as Program Assistant at the International Storytelling Center, as an ETSU storytelling adjunct instructor, and as a performing member with the Jonesborough Storyteller’s Guild.
