Date: June 13, 2026
Time: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Location: Roy-A-Lea Farms Ltd., Binbrook

Bring the whole family for a fun and educational morning on the farm!

At Breakfast on the Farm, you’ll enjoy a delicious, farm-fresh breakfast and get a behind-the-scenes look at how food is grown and raised right here in Ontario. Hosted by the Spoelstra family and Farm & Food Care Ontario, this event offers a unique opportunity for kids and adults alike to explore the exciting world of modern agriculture.

Meet your hosts:

The Spoelstra family owns and operates Roy-A-Lea Farms Ltd. in Binbrook, a mixed farm where they raise beef cattle and milk 60 Holstein cows with robotic milking and feeding technology. The family also grows corn, soybeans, wheat, and hay on 1900 acres. In addition, they raise Clydesdale horses and sell corn and soybean seeds to local growers. The Spoelstras are passionate and progressive farmers and firm believers in doing what you love to make a living. The family was awarded the BMO Farm Family Award in 2017, recognizing their dedication to Ontario’s agriculture sector, community, and rural way of life.

What can you do at Breakfast on the Farm?

  • Get up close with farm animals, including dairy cows, beef cattle, and Clydesdale horses
  • Learn how robotic milking and feeding technology is used on today’s dairy farms
  • See tractors and farm equipment in action
  • Explore interactive games and exhibits about where your food comes from
  • Meet and chat with local farmers and learn about life on the farm

Whether you’re a lifelong farm fan or visiting for the first time, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. It’s a great chance to connect, learn, and make some unforgettable family memories.

We can’t wait to welcome you to the farm!
