At Breakaway, you're a UVF student for the day. This 24-hour overnight experience is for high school students. You can attend a variety of classes, Chapel, information sessions and activities along with spending the night in our residence halls and eating with our students all for free! Students under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone 21 or older. (UVF students are not eligible as chaperones unless the guest is a brother or sister.) Registration must be completed at least a week in advance.

All student guests who are participating in the overnight experience should bring a pillow and bedding and be prepared to sleep on the floor if necessary. A short list of additional items include a change of clothes, toothbrush and any other needed essentials for an overnight stay.

Are there requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Student guests must be in or very recently graduated from high school. Students 21 and older may be able to participate in Breakaway events, but are not permitted to stay in the dorms overnight. Please ask your Admissions counselor or email [email protected] if you have questions about the age limit. Chaperones must be 21 years of age or older.

What should I bring to the event?

When should I register?

The sooner the better, but registration closes one week before the event starts.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Please do not transfer your ticket. Tickets are unique to the registered ticket holder. If you wish to cancel an attendee and add an additional attendee please contact us, or manage your group registration online or contact us at the email address above.

Can I update my registration information?

You may update your registration information at any time before the event registration ends by logging into eventbrite.com. You may also contact Admissions at [email protected] or 610-917-1454 to update your registration.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, you do not need to print the ticket. Be sure to print out the attached chaperone form for each student and have it signed for each student. Make sure the chaperone signs all waivers on the printed ticket as well as the student guest that belongs to the ticket. The completed chaperone forms, including the signed waivers are required for Breakaway check-in. Copies of the waiver are available at check-in if needed.
