Award-winning writer and performer Christine Entwisle presents Breakages, a compelling new short play about all the things we break in our lives – from hearts to fine china – alongside two beautifully observed companion monologues.
By turns darkly comic and deeply moving, these three interconnected pieces paint a vivid portrait of middle-aged women navigating obsession, loss and invisibility. A lanyard worn to bed, the wreckage of treasured possessions and the unexpected growth of new body parts become touchstones in stories that are both absurd and profoundly recognisable.
Breakages is the result of a new creative collaboration between Christine Entwisle and Teresa Brayshaw.
