Brazilian Zouk is a growing social & partner dance that originated and takes inspiration from Lambada and other Brazilian dances such as Forró, Bolero, & Samba de Gafieira with the music originating from the Caribbean. The dance is rooted in connection which is often the first thing you see and feel when you enter a Brazilian Zouk dance space. It's characterized by hair and head movement, musicality, and expression. Nowadays, Brazilian Zouk is danced to all different styles of music including Pop, Reggaetón, Afrobeats, R&B, Instrumentals, and more! With many different styles you can infuse your movements to create your own dance. It can be playful, serious, sexy, sensual, energetic, relaxed, or any and all of the above. It's really difficult to describe how the dance looks, you'll have to see it to find out…This time and space is dedicated for you to practice technique elements and work with others on refining your body movements to reach your goals. You may choose to come with practice material to work on or share with others or choose to come and join others in their practice material. Always free of judgement, always for the curious.
