Experience the vibrant, irresistible swing of Bembolado, the Los Angeles–based gafieira band founded by Brazilian musician and composer Fabio Santana and under the direction of Victor Dutra. This dynamic ensemble brings together rich samba percussion, a tight and expressive horn section, and soulful vocals to capture the essence of Rio de Janeiro’s classic ballroom dance sound.This special evening will feature guest artist João Sabiá. João Sabiá is a Brazilian singer/songwriter and actor, born and raised in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro. With a 25-year career, he is a leading voice of the sambalanço music genre, blening influences from bossa nova and samba-swing with pop, soul and jazz. Dancing is welcome. Samba de gafieira performance to follow the band's set.
