Join us for a family-friendly celebration of female leadership with a screening of two short films, plus a musical performance, and post-screening Q&A discussion with cast and crew!
Come early for a reception with the cast of both films and the filmmakers. You'll also have a chance to meet some of our inspiring local women business owners from the downtown Rock Springs community. A light snack and drink will be provided.

**The Films**
"Mountain Roots" (28 min): A young climber and her grandfather travel from Rock Springs to the Italian Dolomites to climb the mountain of their ancestors. It’s an epic journey of self-discovery to reconnect her family after being separated for more than 100 years. This film is a co-production with Wyoming PBS and has been nominated for three 2026 Heartland EMMY Awards. This will be the Rock Springs Premiere of the film.
"Sky Queens" (15 min): In 1931, Amelia Earhart landed in Rock Springs. The town was captivated by her celebrity, skill, and confidence as they posed for a photograph with Amelia and her plane at their small airport. Nearly 100 years later, two modern-day Sky Queens bring the same magic as they return to Rock Springs on their way to an all-female air race. This film has not yet been released, so this is a special pre-release sneak peak!
**The Music**
Music selections from both films will be brought to life by a live performance from EMMY-nominated film composer, James Craft, and professional violinist, Anna Corcoran.
