Join us for a second public screening of "BrainStorm," an amazing local documentary on the history of the CCBN.
About this Event

As part of Brain Awareness Week, the Canadian Centre for Behavioural Neuroscience invites you to join us for the screening of "BrainStorm," a documentary produced by Bailey and Soda Films about University of Lethbridge neuroscientists who revolutionized our understanding of the brain, developed prevention strategies for brain disorders, and established programs to improve brain health. This film was produced with the support of TELUS STORYHIVE.

The screening will be followed by a live Q&A panel with director Jenna Bailey, and local neuroscientists Dr. Kolb, Dr. Whishaw and Dr. Gibb.

Limited seats are available and previous screenings have been SOLD OUT shows - register now to reserve your seat! Doors will open at 6pm with first-come-first-serve seating.

Wednesday March 12th, 6-8pm

  • Public talk held at the university (BMO Auditorium, Science Commons), presented by psychology professor Dr. Lauren Vomberg
  • Dr. Vomberg's focus is related to cognition and music, so this talk is bound to resonate!
  • Doors open at 6, talk at 6:30pm

Thursday March 13th, 6-8pm

  • Public talk held at the Southern Alberta Ethnic Association, presented by neuroscience professor emeritus, Dr. Bryan Kolb
  • Dr. Kolb will be presenting a talk entitled: “Brain development and social justice: The good, the bad, and the ugly”
  • Doors open at 6, talk at 6:30pm
