The Braidwood Park District’s Annual Children’s Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday March 28, 2026 starting promptly at 1:00p.m.
The hunt will be held at the south end of the Old Smokey City Park in the area of the baseball fields. Please park in the parking lot off of First Street.
Registration Starts at 12:00pm (Under The Baseball Field Pavilion)
*Please be sure to arrive early*
Hunt Begins Promptly at 1:00pm with the youngest age group.
The first 400 children to register will receive a free Easter basket compliments of the Braidwood Knights of Columbus Council 1574 and the Braidwood Lions Club.
**Children MUST be present when registering to receive a basket**
Age Groups:
1 - 3 Years (Tee Ball Field) Start Time: 1:00pm
*Parents/Guardians may walk with their children as the children pick up eggs*
4 - 6 Years (north boys baseball field) Start Time: 1:10pm
ONE parent or guardian may walk with the child as the children pick up the eggs if necessary.
7 - 10 Years (south girls softball field) Start Time: 1:20pm
Parents/guardians will NOT be allowed in the grass area where the eggs are spread out.
- Each age group will be allowed to start their hunt once all of the children have lined up along the starting line and the signal to GO has been given.
**RULES FOR PARENTS**
- This is a CHILDREN’s Easter Egg Hunt, Let the children pick up the eggs
- Parents not escorting their children as outlined above and spectators may watch from the edge of the dirt infield.
- Exceptions to the rules for parents of children with special needs will be made on a case by case basis. Please ask for the event coordinator upon registering.
Treat bags from the Park District will be given out during registration *while supplies last*
A special visit from Mr. & Mrs. Easter Bunny will also take place before and after the hunt. Parents are encouraged to bring their cameras for pictures with Mr. & Mrs. Easter Bunny.
