Let’s be honest! Yes I love what I do! Braiding is my way of showing how creative I can get. Being about to challenge myself testing my skills and creating fire masterpieces is what I love the most, but nobody likes to talk about how much being a creator can take a total toll on your body.
This physical strain on our body’s, time consuming working of standing in just 1 spot for 6+ hours, taking up half your day just on 1 client. The emotional labor of being not only a hairstylist BUT a therapist too! It’s a lot that us braiders have to put up with even outside of our chairs due to being a braider
And to all my braiders don’t burn yourself out trying to make every dollar. What’s for you will be for you and can’t nobody take it away! Your health comes first remember that! �
