StructureTotal distance: 76km or 47¼ miles, involving approx. 1920m or 6300 feet of climbing
5 legs: 13-18 kms / 8-11 miles each
Each leg must be run as a pair, and so a team consists of 10 runners
Terrain
Yorkshire rural terrain – footpaths along becks and through woods, tracks across fields, tracks across heather moorlands; very undulating; sandstone rocks and peat on moors. At this time of the year the ground should be mainly dry and not boggy.
Prize categories
Open: any combination of genders, 18 and over
Ladies: all female, 18 and over
Mixed: each leg consists of one male and one female runner, 18 and over
Vets: any combination of enders, 35 and over
Trophies & prizes for each category winning team, plus the fastest legs for open and ladies categories
Price
£100 per team (includes memento to each runner, plus food and drink in the clubhouse after the finish)
