Why The Care Leavers Local Offer Matters:

The Care Leavers Local Offer brings together services, support, and opportunities tailored to the needs of Care Leavers in our community. Care leavers in Bradford deserve more than services, they deserve a strong foundation and community around them with equal opportunities to thrive.

The Bradford Local Offer is our shared opportunity to build that community, and your organisation can be a driving force in shaping it and in making this vision a reality.

This event presents a valuable opportunity for local businesses, partner services, charities, and community groups to come together and explore how we can collectively support care leavers living in Bradford. By working in partnership, we can expand access to training, education, and employment, and help increase social mobility and meaningful opportunities for care-experienced young people.

Care leavers are resilient, inspiring individuals who deserve a strong support system to help them thrive. We’re keen to engage with a wide range of partners who can contribute to a rich and inclusive Local Offer, covering health, education, employment, housing, social activities, and any service that promotes growth, stability, and social mobility.

Whether you provide jobs, training, mentoring, housing, wellbeing services, or community activities, your involvement can make a real difference to the lives of care leavers in Bradford.

We’re looking to build a network that offers:

  • Apprenticeships, internships, and tailored employment pathways
  • Peer support groups and wellbeing activities
  • Social Value offers, volunteering and social mobility experiences/offers
  • Safe spaces for care leavers to connect, share experiences, and advocate for change
  • Expidited offers for care leavers accessing services and or support in Bradford
