BPSB - Grade 3 Math Planning with i-Ready Classroom Mathematics

This professional development session is designed to support Grade 3 teachers in effectively planning instruction using i-Ready Classroom Mathematics. The training will be divided into two focused planning sessions within one day and will be facilitated by Wendy Goodwin and a designated i-Ready Classroom Mathematics representative.
The day will be broken into two sessions: planning for Unit 1 in the AM session and planning for Unit 2 in the PM session. During each session, participants will work collaboratively to unpack standards, analyze lesson progression, review instructional routines and plan for the implementation of the unit. Teachers will examine opportunities for mathematical discourse, student engagement, and the use of curriculum resources to support mastery of grade-level standards. Teachers will explore lesson structures, pacing considerations, intervention and differentiation supports, and strategies for addressing student misconceptions while maintaining alignment to Louisiana Mathematics Standards.
By the end of the professional development, participants will leave with a stronger understanding of the curriculum structure, instructional expectations, and practical planning tools to support high-quality mathematics instruction throughout the first two units of Grade 3 i-Ready Classroom Mathematics.
