Boys II Men: A Community Conversation for Single Mothers
About this Event
Real Talk. Real Support. Real Change.
Join The JMBD Foundation for Boys II Men: A Community Conversation — an honest, community-style discussion centered on the journey of single mothers raising young sons.
This isn't a panel. This is a conversation.
We'll be sitting in community together — mothers, mentors, and resources all in the same room — to talk about what it really takes to raise boys into men. What are the challenges single moms face that often go unspoken? What does support actually look like? And what role can mentors, community, and fathers play — even from the outside?
What to expect:
- A moderated community conversation in a safe, welcoming space
- Real talk about the challenges of raising young men without a father in the home
- Mentors and community resources available on site
- Connection with other mothers, fathers, and community members who get it
Who this is for:
- Single mothers raising sons
- Co-parents navigating shared parenting
- Mentors, coaches, and youth workers
- Anyone invested in the healthy development of young Black men in our community
