ts Funny Comedy's long awaited return to Elsea Park is happening in September, and we are bringing a stunning lineup!!!!
Opening the show is Mike Gunn, the iconic king of dry comedy.
Mike Gunn is one of the top 10 comedians in Britain today – Independent on Sunday. He is a headliner at all of the major comedy clubs today in the UK and abroad. He has taken two shows to the iconic Edinburgh Fringe Festival, with the first being a show based on his alter ego as a Funeral Director titled ‘ Good Grief’ which he received critical acclaim for. This was followed up with ‘Uncut’ a show looking at recovery of drug addiction. Mike is also a top choice of act for corporate events. His stone cold delivery has been described as 'drier than a dead man's bones', but you can rest assured the audience will be roaring with laughter. Early on in his career Mike supported the likes of Alan Davies & Jo Brand. He has also embarked on a successful 35 date tour with friend and comedian Sean Collins. Gunn’s writing credits include The 11 O Clock Show & Match of The Day Magazine – even though he hates football! More recently Mike supported Lee Mack on his UK tour.
After the first interval, it is the turn of Alexis Roy. An observational comic whose refreshingly unique slant on parenthood, marriage and increasingly awkward family encounters are told with a warmth that belies her real feelings. Enormously relatable Alexis is impressing audiences, her peers and promoters countrywide.
Closing the show is Andrew Bird. Andrew appeared on “The Russell Howard Hour” and supported Russell on tour including Bristol’s Ashton Gate Football stadium and six shows at The London Palladium. He’s also supported Rhod Gilbert, Rob Brydon, America’s Brian Regan and Michelle Wolfe on their only London shows and Michael McIntyre on an entire arena tour including Wembley and the O2. He’s written on the TV shows Jon Richardson’s Ultimate Worrier and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
Andrew is one of only seven comedians to perform for Banksy at Dismal Land.
Your MC for the night is Simon Hall. Loud, mad and ridiculous, Simon's unique comedy stylings have earned him rave reviews from audiences and will have you warmed up perfectly for the acts.
