We are excited to announce our bourbon dinner. Join us for four bourbons that have earned their tenure. Each bourbon is over 10 years old. We have challenged chef to create a four course meal that is designed to pair perfectly with each star. It will be a night you won't forget!The bourbons:
1) Elijah Craig 18 yr Single Barrel: Elijah Craig 18-Year-Old Single Barrel Bourbon is the epitome of Kentucky Bourbon. The nose is sweet and complex. The palate is rich in flavor with notes of toasted oak and vanilla that build with each sip. The finish is unique with hints of smoked citrus.
2) Henry McKenna 10 yr Bottled-in-Bond: The bourbon opens up on the palate, with a perfect intensity and balance of flavor. Caramel, vanilla, and just the right amount of oak make up the base. Caramelized sugar and graham cracker add depth, but the flavor is never pushed too far towards the sweet side. Rye spice emerges on the backend and builds slowly through the mid to tail end of the sip. It’s finely tuned, impeccably balanced, and touches what could be described as what “bourbon” should taste like. In a word, excellent
3) Widow Jane Lucky Thirteen- Aged for thirteen years. Aroma-
Vanilla Bean, Earl Grey Tea, Caramel & Sweet Tobacco. Taste- Pecan Pie, Whole Grain Toast, Grapefruit Peel. Finish-Nutmeg, Birch Beer, Dry Oak Tannin
4) 1792 12 yr- Rich flavors of vanilla and cocoa abound in this full-bodied bourbon. After spending twelve years in oak, the delicate fruit notes in this whiskey are met with a lingering smoky finish that is more complex than most.
We have yet to establish the cost of the event. We are waiting for chef to create a perfect, pairing menu. Stay tuned!
