BOUND SOUND: A Themed Art, Book & Record Social Club

BOUND SOUND is a monthly social club for friends and fans of art, literature and music. We focus on 3 Records, 2 Books, that correlate with the 1 art show on display at Pop-in Art Gallery. We want to be a space for people to participate & share their knowledge, ideas, and perspectives, while fostering a sense of community and intellectual curiosity. We meet at 7PM to socialize and take in the respected art show, then begin our themed discussion and listening party. Curated by your co-hosts, librarian Amy Memminger and gallery curator and music connoisseur Glenn Novak. We hope that by participating in the club you will end up seeing, reading or hearing something new that expands your worldview. You DO NOT need to be familiar with the featured books and records, as this will be a casual introduction to the featured art, books and records, with hopes of giving you a new appreciation of the arts and artists listed:
ART: BACK TO BLACK Dark Art Show. BOOKS: ALL THE LIVING AND THE DEAD (An Exploration of the People Who Make Death Their Lifes Work + THE BUFFALO HUNTER (critically acclaimed 2025 novel that effectively blends vampire ancestry with deep historical tragedy and dark supernatural horror)
MUSIC: Portishead: Dummy, Gargoyle: Mark Lanagan, You Want it Darker: Leonard Cohen, plus introducing the music of LANKUM of Ireland.
