Corky, a tough female ex-convict working on an apartment renovation in a Chicago building, meets a couple living next door, Caesar, a paranoid mobster, and Violet, his seductive girlfriend, who is immediately attracted to her.
For Pride Month this year, the Paducah Film Society is celebrating the mantra "Be Gay. Do Crimes." with a screening of the Wachowskis incredible queer crime thriller Bound.
Before they made The Matrix, The Wachowskis made a small, thrilling picture about a lady ex-con, a mobster, and the girl caught between them. Studio execs tried to get the first-time directors to change the role of Corky to one for a man, but the Wachowskis stuck to their guns (something the innovative siblings would do time and again, even while working with big budgets and major studios). The result is a taut thriller that's not afraid to be bold. Come experience it with PFS!
