Boulder Musician Changemaker Accelerator (MCA) Workshop

The Boulder Musician Changemaker Accelerator (MCA) Workshop is a collaboration with national nonprofit, Music to Life and community partners Roots Music Project and Connected by Music. The Workshop provides hands-on training for Front Range region musicians to create and deliver sustainable, music-driven social change programs. The MCA Workshop takes place on Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm at the Roots Music Project (4747 Pearl St., Suite V3A, Boulder, CO 80301). The MCA Workshop will work with up to 15 musician changemakers who have ideas for building positive, music-driven and sustainable community programs.

The MCA is a 'deep-dive' business-skills workshop where artists will receive training in proposal development, identifying good-fit partners and mobilizing community support. Artists will develop a draft outline of their concept, fundraising, and partnership ideas, and an individualized artist changemaker statement. The MCA also connects artists with local community advocates and industry innovators. 

Participating musicians will receive a $100 stipend, complimentary breakfast and lunch, and all MCA Workshop materials. Additionally, artists are invited to participate in follow up technical assistance with local mentors to help formulate grants, partnerships, and troubleshoot program challenges. Finally, participating artists are invited to join Music to Life's regional/national online Workshop "Reunions", monthly Office Hours with MtL staff, and may qualify for Music to Life’s Juried Artist Roster with ongoing performance, educational, and grants opportunities.

SPACE IS LIMITED. Applications are now open to musicians with ideas for community-based programs; participation is limited to 15 musicians.
