Boudoir Photography Workshop & Sandbar Shoot in West Palm Beach

Join Sara Abbassi, owner of Palm Beach Boudoir, at Palm Studio in West Palm Beach for a 3-day boudoir photography workshop for photographers who want to create more elevated, intentional images in both studio and on-location settings.

This workshop goes beyond taking pretty photos. It focuses on working with women, posing with care, using light thoughtfully, and creating images that feel polished, confident, and visually strong.

We’ll begin in the studio with an intro lecture and hands-on shooting, focusing on light, mood, posing, direction, and creating a comfortable experience for your subject. Then we’ll expand into on-location shooting, learning how to adapt, problem-solve, and create strong work in less controlled environments.

We’ll finish with a styled outdoor shoot at Peanut Island, where we’ll be transported by boat to photograph a model on a sandbar. It will be a chance to create something really special while learning how to adapt, direct, and work with natural light in a way that still feels elevated and intentional.

This is not a crowded shootout with photographers fighting to get the same shot. I want this experience to feel personal, inspiring, and actually educational. You’ll work in a more intimate setting, shoot in small groups, and have the chance to create images that feel portfolio-worthy rather than rushed.

Whether you’re newer to boudoir, looking to build your portfolio, or already shooting and wanting to refine your eye, this workshop is designed to help you improve the finer details of your work in both studio and outdoor environments.

June 19: Intro lecture, studio shoot with model and welcome dinner
June 20: Hands-on shooting with model at Palm Studio & other location
June 21: Boat trip + styled sandbar photo shoot at Peanut Island with model

Prerequisites:
Students should have a basic understanding of their camera and how to shoot in manual mode. Camera rentals may be available for an additional fee.
