Bouchée is an intimate ritual of gathering presented by maison [faux pas], each edition explores a different theme through a curated culinary experience.

Our inaugural edition, Lakou, created in collaboration with award-winning Chef Octave, who you may know from Ottawa Exit Lounge, draws inspiration from the Haitian tradition of gathering—a place where stories are shared and community is cultivated.

Expect an intimate 5 course meal with cocktail pairing (find the menu below), story-telling throughout the evening, a curated playlist of haitian classics by Bernie Gracieuse and disposable cameras to capture the evening

First Seating

Doors open at 6:00 PM.

Dinner begins promptly at 6:30 PM.

Estimated conclusion: 8:30 PM.

Second Seating

Doors open at 9:00 PM.

Dinner begins promptly at 9:30 PM.

Estimated conclusion: 11:30 PM.

House Keeping

• Please arrive on time to preserve the experience for all guests.
• Seating will be assigned.
• Tickets are non-refundable within 24 hours of event day
• Guests must purchase tickets in advance
• We would like guests to refrain from using their phones during the evening in order to be present

Dress Code — Elevated, expressive, or cocktail attire encouraged.

Course I – Lakay

Riz Collé Gratin, Zepis & Scotch bonnet beurre blanc, red bean gel.

Course II – Lekòl

Smoke herring fritter, Plantain tuile, Guacamole, pikliz, and epis oil.

Course III - Machann Fresko

Passion Fruit Granita, Prestige beer foam and fresh lime zest.

Course IV - Pye Zoranj Nan lakou’a

Charcoal-Grilled Squab, bitter orange gastrique, garden herb salad, and orange scented toasted cassava earth.

Course V – Apre Legliz

Pain Patat Mille-Feuille, peanut praline coffee caramel, kremas, and fresh nutmeg
