In this first session, we’ll explore how plants and trees can nourish and care for our skin. Participants will learn techniques to enhance circulation, hydration, and overall skin wellness.
Featured plants may include witch hazel, elderflower, cedar, rose, horse chestnut, calendula, chamomile, rose, balsam fir, marshmallow, meadowsweet, sunflower, flax, evening primrose, nettles, black willow, hickory, birch, wintergreen, and horsetail.
As part of this workshop, we'll create our own cedar-rose bath soak to take home. Each participant will also receive a complimentary botanical face serum or body scrub from Ursa Major!
Dr. Jessica Dolan is an environmental anthropologist and ethnobotanist with over 20 years of experience working with Indigenous communities and environmental caretakers across the Northeast. She currently serves with the National Park Service Northeast Region in Native American Affairs and is writing an ethnobotany field guide. She is a loving parent to a third generation Brattleboro kid.
