Botanical Watercolor - Peonies

Join Angelica Boleta for an intimate peony watercolor workshop on Sunday, May 24th at 2 PM, held inside the newly built greenhouse at Sterling Hills Farm!

In this class we will explore the process of painting peonies by using easy to follow watercolor techniques to achieve depth and interest. Participants will learn about watercolor textures and a variety of techniques to paint the beloved peonies.

About the intructor: Angélica Boleta is a self-taught artist who finds joy in both creating and teaching. For her, painting is about embracing the process, slowing down, and sharing her best self with the world. In her workshops, she fosters a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere where creativity can flow freely. Her goal is to guide others in exploring the meditative and joyful essence of watercolor.

​​Rooted in a background in agricultural engineering, her deep connection to the natural world now shapes her artistic practice. This bond with nature fuels her creativity and infuses each painting with a sense of intention, presence, and reverence for the organic world.

About the farm: Sterling Hills was founded on a vision of unwavering excellence and a deep love for miniature Highland cattle, their journey toward fulfilling new realized dreams began in 2020. Little did they know it would lead them to the cherished 'Heilan Coo.' Their passion extends beyond simply raising cattle, it’s about creating an experience grounded in respect for the land, the animals, and the families who get to welcome these beauties into their lives.

The Sterling Greenhouse promises to bring an inviting, warm and serene space that integrates Robin's love for gardening and peonies, with the farms core stars, their miniature Highland cattle.

Planned as an additional home for their Golden Hour Graze Picnics, this space is also to host intimate gatherings, photography sessions, events, and of course... will serve as an active greenhouse for all of our year round favorites.
